What is an OG image?

An OG (Open Graph) image is the preview of your post, article or link that appears automatically when you share it on Telegram, LinkedIn, Facebook*, Slack and other networks. When you share a link, the OG image is the first thing a reader sees. The standard size is 1200×630 pixels.

How do I check how my link looks?

Use the free OG checker: paste a link and it shows the preview on Telegram (dark and light themes), X, WhatsApp, Facebook* and LinkedIn, checks the Open Graph tags (title, description, image and its real size) and tells you what is wrong. No sign-up needed. The full list of platforms that show og:image is in the drop-down on the checker page. The checker is currently in Russian.

Which formats are supported?

OG Studio supports 8 formats: Open Graph (1200×630, for Telegram/Facebook*/LinkedIn), Instagram* Square (1080×1080), Story/Reels/Shorts (1080×1920, 9:16), Twitter Banner (1500×500), 16:9 Cover (1280×720, for LinkedIn/YouTube/Discord), Facebook* Post (1200×630), Pinterest Pin (1000×1500) and a custom size (100–4000 pixels) — the custom size is a Pro feature. You can export one design in every format. With Pro you can save your custom sizes to favorites.

Do I need to sign up?

Accepted Answer

No. The editor is open without sign-up: create an image and download it. An account (by email) is needed for Pro — 100 AI generations per hour, no watermark, Brand Kit — and for project history. You sign in with email (a code sent to your inbox). If Telegram is linked to your account, you can also sign in through Telegram: the bot sends you a “Confirm sign-in” button.

Can I use it through Telegram?

Yes. We have a Telegram bot, @ogimg_bot: send it a topic or a link to an article and it builds an OG image and sends the file right to your chat. Your website account and the bot share the same profile. The easiest way to link them is in one click: in your profile on the site, press “Link” next to Telegram, then in the chat with the bot press “Start” and “Confirm linking” — no code or email needed. As a fallback, send the bot the /link command and your email: a 6-digit code arrives in your inbox, and you send it to the bot. After linking, your Pro subscription and limits work in the bot too, and you can sign in to the site through Telegram without an email. You can unlink at any time in your profile on the site. The bot replies in English if your Telegram is set to English; switch the language any time with the /language command in the bot.

Can I make an image from an article or a website?

Yes — it is one of the main features of OG Studio. The editor has an “From URL” block: paste a link to an article or a website and the system extracts the title, description and cover. The AI copywriter can then suggest headlines based on the content. It is the fastest way: paste a link and get a finished image.

What is ogimg.su?

Accepted Answer

ogimg.su is the short address of OG Studio. It is the very same site: type ogimg.su in the address bar and you land here, on og-studio.online. A short name is easy to type on a phone, say out loud and put into presentations. Your account and data are shared: whichever address you open, the service is the same.

Can I make many covers from a spreadsheet (CSV)?

Yes — on the “Covers from a spreadsheet” page. You upload a table: a CSV file (for example from Excel) or a link to a Google spreadsheet. Each row holds a headline and, optionally, a subtitle, brand, template, color and format. Some templates have optional extra columns — category, author, day and month, price, button, list items and more; an empty cell means that element is left out of the cover. For the “Photo background” and “Product and price” templates you can add a photo column with an image link. You get a ZIP archive with a ready cover for every row. Free: up to 25 covers at a time (sign-in by email or Telegram required); with Pro, up to 100 and no watermark. Handy when you need a lot of covers: a series of posts, blog articles, a catalog. The page is currently in Russian.

Is there a WordPress plugin?

Yes, the OGImg Covers plugin is already in the WordPress.org directory (https://wordpress.org/plugins/ogimg-covers/). To install it, go to “Plugins → Add New” in your WordPress admin and search for “OGImg Covers”. You can also upload the ZIP from the /wp-plugin page. The plugin builds a cover (og:image) for your blog posts on its own — the title and description come from the post, you pick the template, color and format and see the preview right inside WordPress. You can make covers for old posts too. In the post’s meta tags the plugin inserts a short image link like ogimg.su/img/Ab3xKp9f. With a Pro key the covers have no watermark — the key is issued in your profile (/account), in the “WordPress plugin” section.

How many generations are free?

The Free plan includes 5 AI generations per hour. The counter resets at the start of every hour (exactly at :00 Moscow time). If you run out, wait for the next hour. Pro gives you 100 generations per hour. If Telegram is linked to your account, the limit is shared between the site and the bot.

Is there a watermark?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on the Free plan exported PNG images get a small “OG Studio” watermark in the corner. You can already see it in the editor preview — the downloaded image looks the same. To remove it, get Pro (from 50 ₽ for 24 hours): with Pro your images have no watermark, both on the site and in the bot. International payments are coming soon — prices are in Russian rubles (₽).

Can I upload my own images?

Yes, in the “Photo background” template you can upload your own image (JPG, PNG, WebP): up to 10 MB on Free and up to 30 MB on Pro. If an image is larger than 5 MB, it is compressed automatically in your browser through the Canvas API (nothing is sent to the server). GIF is not supported. The image is fitted to the selected format automatically (cover). You can also put your own photo into the “Product and price” template — into the product card. In other templates the image is not shown. A short link draws the cover on the server: with Pro, with your photo (it is stored on our server while the link is alive and is deleted together with it), without Pro, without the photo; in that case, for a site with a photo, upload the downloaded PNG to your own hosting. In covers from a spreadsheet (CSV), the photo for these two templates is set by a link in the “photo” column.

Can I change fonts and colors?

Changing the accent color, dragging text and 5 basic fonts (Inter, Serif, Mono, Display and System) are available to everyone. Another 15 fonts (Montserrat, Manrope, Golos Text, Rubik, Nunito, Raleway, Exo 2, Oswald, Unbounded, Russo One, PT Serif, Playfair Display, Lora, Comfortaa and Caveat), custom text size, slant and color override are Pro only.

What is included in Free and Pro?

Pro includes: 100 AI headlines per hour, no watermark on PNG, custom text size, 20 fonts (Free has 5 basic ones), text slant, color, italic and bold for individual words (select a fragment and style it), HD (2×) export, Brand Kit (your brand plus a signature style in one click), the full catalog of brand badges, unlimited ZIP packs (Free: 3 archives a day) and unlimited project history (Free: 3 projects). A custom image size (100–4000 px) is Pro too. 7 preset sizes, 35 templates plus holiday ones, photo upload (up to 10 MB, 30 MB on Pro) and drag and drop are available to everyone on Free. There are three Pro plans: a 24h pass (50 ₽), Monthly (390 ₽) and Yearly (2,990 ₽ — you save 36%). International payments are coming soon — prices are in Russian rubles (₽). What is Brand Kit?

Brand Kit is a Pro feature: you set up your signature style once — brand name, logo (JPG/PNG/WebP up to 30 MB, with cropping) and its corner, brand color, font, brand badge and default template — and apply it to any cover in one click. Set it up on the /brand-kit page or in the editor: the “Brand” button → “Set up Brand Kit”; apply it with “Brand” → “Apply Brand Kit”. You can look at the Brand Kit page without Pro, but saving and applying require a subscription.

Auto-covers for a Telegram channel

Accepted Answer

This is a Pro feature: add the @ogimg_bot bot as an admin of your channel, and for posts tagged #cover it makes a cover in the style of your Brand Kit: template, color, badge and brand name, with no watermark. How to set it up: 1) link Telegram to your account (the “Link” button in your profile or the /link command in the bot); 2) add the bot to the channel as an admin with the “Post messages” and “Delete messages” rights; 3) write a post in the channel itself: the first line is #cover and a headline, the second is a subtitle, then the post text. The bot publishes the cover with this text and deletes your message. The tag is #cover or #oblozhka, case does not matter; the bot does not touch posts without a tag. In “Send to me” mode (the default) the bot first sends the cover to you with a “Publish to channel” button; in “Reply” mode it publishes right away. If you need a cover for every post, choose “All posts” in your profile (in the bot — the “For all posts” button). Up to 30 covers per channel per day. You manage this in the “Auto-covers for channels” section of your profile or with the /channels command in the bot.

What is “My links”?

These are the stats of your short links — a Pro feature. Where the links come from: every time you press “Download PNG” in the editor, a short link like ogimg.su/img/… to that cover appears under the preview. One cover, one link: download the same cover again and the link stays the same, with no duplicates. They are all collected in your profile (/account), in the “My links” section. What is counted: previews (Telegram and other platforms loaded the image for the link card, or a website page showed it), clicks (the link was opened in a browser) and which platforms they came from. Counting runs from the 1st of the month, Moscow time (UTC+3). Views from OG Studio itself are not counted. You can delete a link you no longer need in your profile — the image will stop opening everywhere you pasted it (platforms that have already loaded the preview may keep showing it from their cache for up to a day). The @ogimg_bot bot also shows brief stats — the /stats command.

Question 18

Can I cancel my subscription?

There is nothing to cancel: there is no auto-renewal — one payment, one period. Pro ends by itself on the end date (shown in your profile and in the bot via /me). For questions about payment and refunds, write to ad.minov@yandex.ru.

How do refunds work?

Accepted Answer

If the result did not suit you or a technical error occurred, write to ad.minov@yandex.ru with your email and the payment date. The refund goes through YooKassa within 3–5 business days. We review each case individually: we do not want you to pay for something you did not use.

Are my images stored?

Accepted Answer

Images you upload are processed right in your browser through the Canvas API: if an image is larger than 5 MB, it is compressed to the needed size automatically. Until you save a project, the image stays only in your browser (localStorage) — it is not sent to the server. If you are signed in and save a project, its cover is stored on our server and is available only to you. The exception is Telegram (the mini app) and iPhone: there the finished PNG for “Send to chat” and “Download in browser” goes to our server. “Send to chat” forwards the file straight to your chat with the bot — we do not keep it. For “Download in browser” the file stays on the server for 7 days at a link with a random address, then is deleted automatically. Short links (ogimg.su/img/…) store not the image but only the cover parameters: headline, subtitle, brand, template, format, color and template fields (category, date, price and so on). The exception is Pro with “Photo background” or “Product and price”: the photo for such a link is stored on our server while the link is alive; delete the link and the photo is deleted. The image is redrawn every time it is opened. AI-generated headlines are not saved in the database. Your privacy is our priority.

Question 21

Is my data used to train AI?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not use your data to train models. AI generation runs through GigaChat (Sber) and, if it is unavailable, through backup providers (OpenRouter, the Llama 3.3 70B model). Only the topic text is sent for processing; no email, images or other personal data are passed on. The request and the result are not saved — your content does not end up in training data.

Question 22

Which cookies does the site use?

Accepted Answer

Only the necessary ones. First, a signed session cookie — it keeps you signed in so you do not have to sign in again on every visit. Second, an anonymous og_sid identifier: promo codes and abuse protection work through it — it contains no email or personal data. If you arrived through an “Invite a friend” link, an og_ref cookie with the inviter’s code is set for 30 days. The theme (light/dark) is stored in your browser’s localStorage. Anonymous statistics are collected by Yandex Metrica — it sets its own service cookies (_ym_*) that contain no name, email or image content; you can block them in your browser without losing functionality. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies on the site.

Question 23

What happens to the URL of an article or a website when I import it?

When you paste the URL of an article or a website into the editor, our server requests that URL, extracts the title and description (meta tags) and returns them to the editor. We do NOT store the page content, do not index it and do not pass it to third parties. SSRF protection is in place: requests to localhost, private IPs and internal services are blocked.

Can I use the images commercially?

Yes. All images you create in OG Studio belong to you. You can use them in commercial projects, on your site, on social networks, in ads — with no restrictions. We claim no copyright over your content. The templates and gradients are ours, but the result of your design is yours.
